The Lazer Collection

Dannyboy, Stateside boy among us, first showed me this when he was with me once. I looked at the way "Lazer" was spelt and and looked away. Ridiculous I thought. I look back now and wonder what the hell was wrong with me that day. It starts with the usual, a screentest that later on was turned into somethng full, but as it progresses starts to earn some genuine laughs. They are just videos of situations all over the shot, that happen to have someone or something going "BBBBLLLAAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!" at some point. Random, but funny.

They have this original style that, despite looking like a bit of a ASDF movie clone to me, gives you some new, quality videos. They are genuinely brilliant, with a completely unique twist and unexpectedness that guides you ever-deeper into this.

The lazer Collection, I think, is based around an original video of some random think going "I'm a' firing my laser!!!" then releasing a blast of energy through it's mouth. As you go on, this is usd to suprisingly good effect, with a lot of scenes ending with the completely ransdom intrusion of this strange thing. I personally love their creative style, and can't wait to review the other videos.

Woah.

I played this thing, and straight away; new graphics, new actors, new quality. I watch 5 seconds and there's already this epic theme tune, like a rock concert packed into a 10 second opening credits. It is animation at it's finest already, and you can visibly see the extra effort that has gone into this. They have begun to draaw from movies etc., using faces and names to their usual brilliant effect. They have come up with one of those trademark random styles that crams some real comedy genius into 3 minutes and 11 seconds.

They are even more effective than most, and although I normally find time for a moan here, there is little left to be desired. I don't normally see something this close to perfect, but alas, here it is. I laughed start to finish, and Dom Fera's little insert at the end left me shaking my head in that "Ruddy Brilliant" Kind of way.  I hate to go on, but I doubt they can ever top this.

Now you can tell when Dfear studios rams everythig they've got into 5 minutes and 49 seconds. The first minute sets us up in by far the biggest plot in the Collection, with straight away the strange music in the background. The music is a new addition straight away, already adding this deep, interesting feel to it. After some of the Lazer Collection's best laughs yet, we're thrown in with a truly epic theme tune, whole orchestra going full force.

 After our little display of awesomeness, we're thrown back into the true

Lazer Collection spirit, with our stick men thrown into these brilliant situations, sometimes with the randomest situations I've seen in a long while back here to haunt us once more. Truly brilliant.

One situation is a play on Harry potter, being:

Harry, come quickly, dumbledore's been in some sort of accident!

Oh My God, was it serious??

No, snape.

This is what we mean. It is also the first video to include a plotline, centred around an investigation into everyone's favourite- Doctor Octogonapus. No spoilers here!!! A truly epic story that is undoubtely the best yet. Nice one, Dom.
